Job Summary
We are hiring a Senior Photoshop Retoucher on a full-time basis in Herndon, Virginia. Photoshop Artists use Photoshop to retouch and/or integrate 3D renders into images to produce beautiful, photo-realistic end products. The Photoshop Artists are ultimately responsible for the final shot composition. This includes technical and aesthetic quality and integrity of product images to client. As a senior team member, you are responsible for pushing the envelope and mentoring those of less experience to do the same. The ideal candidate has years of experience in integrating CG renders to maximize photorealism of images and/or doing beauty retouching. Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead by Example. Integrate CG renders into end products to push photorealism of products, places, and people. 
  • Move the Needle. Bring new and emerging technology and techniques into the artistic process to improve quality and/or efficiency. 
  • Mentor. Elevate the performance and skills of your team by working with them regularly on their strengths and weaknesses.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 10+ years’ experience in a professional setting digitally compositing and retouching images to create photorealistic end products. 
  • Highly developed eye for aesthetics and realism.
  • High level of expertise in Photoshop including a solid understanding of the photo compositing techniques (i.e. adjustment layers, clipping masks, smart objects, advanced masking, advanced blending).
  • Deep understanding of how light interacts with various materials (e.g., glass, bead-blasted aluminum, polished stainless steel, rubber, skin, woven cloth, etc.).
  • Excellent organization skills, able to create and work within production pipelines and collaborate with other teams within that pipeline.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under high pressure with short deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset to work closely with others to achieve the highest caliber of work. Comfortable having work critiqued by colleagues as well as providing critiques to others in a constructive manner.
  • Strong personal drive to learn and develop your skills and the willingness to share knowledge with others.
  • Strong time management skills.
